Benefits to using body scrubs:

A natural source of glycolic acid (AHA), sugar breaks down layers of dead skin and smooths the skin's surface. It also speeds up rehydration, keping skinconditioned and moisturized. For these reasons sugar scrubs are a great options for dry and dehydrated skin types as well as normal skin.

You also do not want to damage your skin cells as any scrub can be harsh with over usage. Over exfoliating your skin can strip away natural oils and prevent natural restoration. My recommendation is to use 1-2 weekly.
